National WMU maintains a database of housing available for Southern Baptist missionaries in the United States on stateside assignments.
Most housing is sponsored by Southern Baptist Convention churches or associations for missionaries appointed through the International Mission Board (IMB).
Important note to missionaries: all houses are “no pets” unless otherwise indicated.
Email housing[at]wmu.org for more information.
Through a partnership between WMU of Texas and the World Mission Center at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, missionaries returning home from the field now have a place to call home as they rest and recharge.
Note: Mary's House provides temporary housing for IMB and NAMB missionaries through the Missionary-in-Residence Program at Southwestern Seminary. Visit the MIR link to learn more.
Mary's House, a gift from WMU of Texas and the Mary Hill Davis Offering® for Texas Missions is a temporary home for missionaries serving stateside.
Mary's House provides all of the comforts Texas residents enjoy with the added bonus of being on a seminary campus with students who can be encouraged and mentored by the missionaries living alongside them.
This opportunity for community, fellowship, discipleship, and encouragement will not only change the lives of the missionaries returning to the foreign field, but the experience will also encourage and shape the journeys of the seminary students they engage with.

WMU of Texas was born out of the vision of women to support, encourage, and bless missionaries serving around the world.
But what about missionaries who retire?
While most of us have spent a lifetime acquiring all the necessities of outfitting a household, most missionaries live simply and leave behind most of their worldly possessions when they return from the mission field. Many return from a lifetime of service with many treasures in heaven, but barely a suitcase of earthly belongings.
WMU of Texas had the idea to bless retiring missionary families by providing them with a few of the household necessities that most of us take for granted.
