Missionary Housing

Missionary Housing Requests

National WMU maintains a database of housing available for Southern Baptist missionaries in the United States on stateside assignments.

Most housing is sponsored by Southern Baptist Convention churches or associations for missionaries appointed through the International Mission Board (IMB).

  • Missionaries are to make arrangements directly with the sponsoring body.
  • Passwords are provided to missionaries with long-term commitments. If you have forgotten the password or need assistance, please contact housing[at]wmu.org and include your name, sending agency, status, and your missionary number if IMB.

Important note to missionaries: all houses are “no pets” unless otherwise indicated.

Email housing[at]wmu.org for more information.

Mary's House: A WMU of Texas Home for Missionaries

Through a partnership between WMU of Texas and the World Mission Center at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, missionaries returning home from the field now have a place to call home as they rest and recharge.

Note: Mary's House provides temporary housing for IMB and NAMB missionaries through the Missionary-in-Residence Program at Southwestern Seminary.

Retired Missionaries

WMU Homecoming Project

WMU of Texas was born out of women's vision to support, encourage, and bless missionaries serving around the world.

But what about missionaries who retire?

While most of us have spent a lifetime acquiring household necessities, most missionaries live simply and leave most of their possessions behind when they return from the mission field.

Many return from a lifetime of service with many treasures in heaven, but barely a suitcase of earthly belongings.

WMU Homecoming allows WMU of Texas to bless retiring missionary families with household necessities that most of us take for granted.

Contact WMU Adult Strategist Teri Ussery to learn about future missionary support opportunities.
