Adults on Mission

Adults on Mission is a coed organization for adults. This missions discipleship group prepares men and women to work together to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and to hear God’s call.

Most Adults on Mission groups are activity-based, so the groups can be formed to meet an identified need in your community or when an existing small group decides to become involved in missions.

Groups can also be formed around natural networks or affiliations (such as professions) or around life issues (such as parenting or retirement).

Getting Started Guide

How to Start a Adults on Mission Group:

  • Begin With Prayer: Involve church leadership in seeking direction for starting a new group.
  • Contact WMU of Texas: Contact WMU of Texas to learn more about updates, resources, and leadership training.
  • Determine the Focus: Adults on Mission groups often focus their involvement around a feature in Missions Mosaic, such as the missionary spotlight or Bible study. Groups may also meet around a common interest.
  • Identify Leaders: Identify a group leader and others willing to lead. Provide leadership development through WMU of Texas's leadership training events.
  • Select & Order Materials: Use WMU resources to help plan missions involvement. The Missions Leader: WMU Planning Guide is an excellent resource to help you get started.
  • Promote: Invite all women to attend through personal contacts, email, social media, and other communication channels at your church.
