Compassion Bags Mission Project

Option 1: Collect supplies year-round and mail to WMU Border Missionary Vanessa Lerma. For delivery instructions, contact Vanessa Lerma at (956) 279-5515 or vanessa.wmutx[at]txb.org.

Option 2: Collect and bring supplies to Pursue: WMU of Texas' Annual Meeting & Missions Celebration on April 17-18, 2027, in Waco, Texas.

At Pursue, your generous donations of hygiene kits and supplies enabled WMU Border Ministries to assemble and distribute over 200 Compassion Bags to families along the Texas/Mexico border.

This year, help even more families along the border by donating the following supplies.

Serve Brownsville Mission Trip

From August 13-16, 2026, you can bring hope and healing to those in need through a back-to-school drive and block party, benefiting children and families in the Brownsville area.

During this event, WMU of Texas will organize a block party featuring a school supplies drive, as well as crafts and activities for kids.

Volunteers will have an opportunity to share the Gospel with children and adults, as we provide activities and play for children while other events in the area meet additional needs in the community.

We hope to see you as we Serve Brownsville!

Border Ministries School Supply Drive

Every year, parents along the Texas/Mexico border struggle to afford school supplies for their children. WMU of Texas Missionary Vanessa Lerma is organizing a year-round school supply drive to ensure that every child has the tools they need to succeed in school.
