In partnership with national Woman's Missionary Union, WMU of Texas offers small groups, ministries, and missions discipleship resources enabling every member of the church to learn about missions, become involved in missions, and live a missional lifestyle.

Teaching Resources

WMU provides age-appropriate resources so that every church member — from preschoolers to adults — can actively engage in missions.

Each resource is designed to help people in your church

  • learn about missions,

  • pray for missions,

  • support missions, and

  • do missions and tell people about Jesus.

Christian Job Corps

Christian Women’s Job Corps (CWJC) and Christian Men’s Job Corps (CMCJ) seeks to equip women and men, in a Christian context, for life and employment. Through these vibrant ministries, participants gain self-confidence, purpose, direction, and hope for the future.

Biblical Mentoring Bible Studies

WMU of Texas's Biblical Mentoring Resources offers five flexible Bible studies, each crafted to guide you in becoming a missional disciple-maker. Whether you embark on this journey solo, with a friend, or in a small group, you'll gain practical tools to share the Gospel and nurture others in their faith.

Embrace: Mentoring for Young Women

Embrace is a mentoring experience for young women, ages 18-35, that seeks to help them uncover God’s plan and purpose.  The program comprises six sessions designed to address the most common questions related to God’s purpose and plan.

Missions Ministry Partnerships

Partner with WMU of Texas to start or join an ongoing missions effort in Texas. 

  • WMU Border Ministries
    WMU Border Ministries provides opportunities for individuals and churches to serve alongside our WMU of Texas Missionary, Vanessa Lerma.
  • Women's Build Project
    Women's Build, a ministry of WMU of Texas, is an annual women-led home build experience in partnership with Buckner International.
  • Mission Projects (from Home)
    You don't have to leave home to serve. View our mission opportunities that groups can participate in from home.

Join WMU of Texas throughout the year for training events, missions opportunities, and more. 

  • Pursue: A Missions Celebration
    In April of each year, women, men, young adults, and students gather to be equipped and encouraged to make disciples who, in turn, make disciples.
  • Familias en Misión: Somos Obreros
    En Familias en Misión, un evento de noviembre que se celebra solo en español, todos los miembros del hogar —hombres, mujeres, jóvenes y niños— descubrirán cómo convertirse en formadores de discípulos en su comunidad.

Mary Hill Davis Offering for Texas Missions

The Mary Hill Davis Offering for Texas Missions Offering supports more than 70 missionaries and ministries, including church-starting efforts across the state led by the Texas Baptists Center for Missional Engagement. 

This support includes: 

  • Annual Church Starting Assessments
  • Funding for Church Replants
  • Church Starting Vision Trips
  • Resources for House Churches
  • Training Resources for Church Planters, and More.
