Area Representative (Areas 1-9)
Criteria for Area Representatives who serve as members of the Board of Directors of WMU of Texas shall:
Be a member of a local church and/or WMU community
Be a resident member of a church affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT)
Have at least two years of WMU of Texas leadership experience
Commit to attend two Board meetings per year (October and March)
Attend WMU of Texas Annual Meeting (March/April)
Remain a resident member of a church in the area she represents (only applies to area representatives)
Member-At-Large
Criteria for Members-at-Large who serve as members of the Board of Directors of WMU ofTexas shall:
Be a member of a local church and/or community WMU or have similar missions discipleship experiences
Be a resident member of a church affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT)
Commit to attending two Board meetings per year (October and March).
Attend WMU of Texas Annual Meeting (March/April)
Officer
Criteria for Officers who serve as members of the Board of Directors of WMU of Texas shall:
Be an active member of a local church and/or WMU community and have served on the Board of Directors within the past twelve years.
The President and the Vice President must at the time of election have been a member of the Board of Directors for at least three years, two years of which have been consecutive years.
The Recording Secretary must at the time of election or designation have been a member of the Board of Directors for at least two years.
Be an active resident member of a church affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT).
Commit to attending two Board meetings per year (October and March).
Attend WMU of Texas Annual Meeting (March/April).
