Each year, WMU of Texas sets aside a day to pray intentionally and specifically for the CJC ministries in Texas. On Tuesday, February 18, join us in praying for Texas CJC sites as we share our confession of Hope through practical, life-changing ministry in the community.
During the virtual prayer call, participants will:
Pray for site coordinators to have wisdom as they work with those they serve.
Pray for those studying for their high school equivalency test to have an understanding and knowledge of what they are studying.
Pray for the needs of women and men to be met as they seek to provide for their families.
Pray for mentors and other volunteers as they serve and love participants well.
Pray for participants to know and understand the love of Jesus and have a relationship with Him.
Location: Virtual (Zoom)

Esther was a student who had so much joy, it was contagious! She was studious and took to heart what our classes taught her. Towards the end of our semester, she realized her dream of becoming a CNA was possible. God gave her the strength to research her options, and she was able to find a way to get her classes paid for in return for a commitment to working here for some time after she completed them. She did not waste any time! In fact, she started her CNA classes the day our classes at CWJC ended. Sometime later that summer, she stopped in my office to say hello and to pick up her graduation gifts. It was then that I learned that she had completed her training and was going to become a nurse! I was elated! It is always amazing to see how God strengthens us and makes our paths straight in the direction he leads. Congratulations, Esther! Keep your heart open to all that God has in store for you!

Several years ago, four ladies came to my office with a vision to encourage, empower, and equip women for life. Our church became the first site for CWJC-Grand Prairie and is a monthly financial supporter. Women gain more than computer skills—they grow through mentorship, prayer, and Bible study. Many leave feeling spiritually empowered and self-assured to enter the workforce. We have seen how investing in the lives of women extends beyond the classroom setting. We believe that by providing space and financially supporting them, we can join CWJC-GP to ‘go and make disciples’.
Both churches have seen how CWJC changes lives. Don’t miss the blessing. Get involved, support, or start one. CWJC is a powerful, effective way to make disciples and share the love of Jesus.”

“While at Christian Women's Job Corps, I learned valuable skills like computer literacy, interview techniques, and financial awareness.
The most profound lessons, the ones that truly changed my life, have been about faith, self-worth, and that God has a plan for me.
The Women at CWJC saw the potential in us that we sometimes fail to see in ourselves, and for that, I will forever be grateful.
I now have the confidence and determination to complete my Paralegal course, and I will be attending college this year to earn my degree.”
