WMU launched Children’s Missions Day to move children in grades 1–6 out of their churches and into their communities to do missions.
The goal is for children’s groups to create projects that meet needs in their communities.
Children’s Missions Day (CMD) has been going strong ever since, with people in communities across the United States hearing about and experiencing the love of Jesus because children’s groups are going beyond simply learning about missions to actively participating in missions.
Why Participate?
Children’s Missions Day is motivational.
Through Children’s Missions Day, God has used children to make a real difference in their communities.
Children’s Missions Day is a great way to get the children in your church motivated and engaged in mission action in their own community. They are joining thousands of other children across North America to minister to people in their own community with the love of Jesus.
Imagine the impact the church of Jesus Christ could have in North America if children everywhere led their entire church family to minister in their communities!
How to Participate
Dallas Area Mission Project for Children
On Sept. 19, WMU of Texas will host a local, hands-on mission project for children for Children's Misison Day!
When: Sept. 19 at 9:00 AM
Where: WMU of Texas, 10325 Brockwood Rd., Dallas, Texas 75238
Project: Children will make and decorate "We prayed for you" cards and attach them to special snack packs.
Mission: Once finished, groups are invited to visit a local police station, fire station, or hospital to deliver the treats and pray over our community members.
