Missions Discipleship for Hispanic

As believers in Christ, we must come together as one to carry out the Great Commission so that every soul is saved. God has given us the task; we must learn to work together to expand His kingdom.

WMU of Texas has opened avenues that give churches the resources and connects them to partners to help them carry out their calling. We would like to build a bridge that allows WMU of Texas to walk alongside Hispanic churches.

How?

  • Engaging Hispanic churches and associations in missions’ discipleship
  • Helping them establish partnerships for missions to be equipped to fulfill their calling
  • Empowering these churches as they send forth missionaries and carry out their ministries

Unwrapping the Biblical Mission Story

How to Start a Multicultural WMU Group:

  • Begin With Prayer: Involve church leadership in seeking direction for starting a new group.
  • Contact WMU of Texas: Contact WMU of Texas to learn more about updates, resources, and leadership training specifically for Hispanic churches.
  • Select & Order materials: Review available resources and choose the best one for your group. Missions for all is an excellent tool for developing missionary habits. If you or other sisters or brothers read English, check out wmustore.com for other great resources in English as well. Note: Sample children units are linked below. Contact WMU of Texas to receive the most current unit.
  • Identify Leaders: Select leaders who are committed to making disciples and who will work with the pastor to plan the work. Provide leadership development by attending a WMU leadership training event. As leaders review the material, they can formulate a plan to encourage everyone's participation in missionary discipleship.
  • Promote & Invite: Invite all women to attend through personal contacts, email, social media, or flyers. Often a personal invitation is the most effective method.
